Green moong daal

Rice

½ cup up to ¾ cup

Turmeric powder

Ghee

1 tbsp

6 to 7 cup
|
Wash both dal and rice together. Soak for an hour in salted water.
Add half the turmeric.
Pressure cook dal with half the water. It gets done in about 4
whistles.
Transfer to a large saucepan, add remaining water, turmeric, ghee
and add more salt if required.
Cook while stirring, till the khichidi is thick and well mixed.
Mash a little if desired.
