Homemade bacon














Ingredients

Quantity
Pork
500gms
Saltpeter
¾ tsp
Brown sugar
1 tsp
Salt
1 tbsp


Select a piece of pork without bones. Do not wash but wipe it dry. Mix saltpeter, sugar and salt and rub into pork. Put into a dish and keep in the refrigerator. Turn daily for a fortnight. It is then ready for use.
