Milk

Castor sugar

Egg yolks

Vanilla essence

2 -3 drops
|
Mix egg yolks, sugar and essence in a basin. Whisk in boiled
milk. Return to a thick-bottomed pan. Place on low heat and stir with a wooden
spoon till it coats the back of the spoon. Do not boil. Pass through a fine strainer.
Serve with fruits,
steamed or baked puddings.
