Dry mixed spices:


Fenugreek
a pinch
Onion seeds
a pinch
Fennel
a pinch
Cumin
a pinch

a pinch


Cut beans, brinjals, peeled potatoes, radish and bitter gourd into long pieces and fry separately. Cut drumstick into long pieces and shell peas. Grind ginger, mustard seeds and turmeric to a smooth paste. Heat the fat, fry dry mixed spices and curry leaves. Add vegetables and fry a little. Add ground spices, salt, sugar and enough water to cook the vegetables. Cover and simmer till vegetables are tender. Add milk and cook till the gravy becomes thick.
