Sago minced meat savoury balls














Ingredients

Soda bicarbonate

Green chillies

Wash, drain and keep aside sago for 30 minutes. Boil the mincemeat in just enough water to cook it tender but dry. Grind green chillies and ginger to a fine paste. Mix together mincemeat, ground ingredients, finely chopped onions, gram flour, lime juice, chopped tomatoes, sago and 50 ml water to form a thick batter. Let it stand for 1 minute. Add soda bicarbonate. Mix well. Form into balls and deep fry till golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper and serve hot.

N. B.     250gms of meat with bones when minced after removing the bones comes to 180gms. The above quantities make 40 savoury balls (the size of a lime).
