Chop onion, chillies and curry leaves. In fry-pan, heat a
tbsp of oil. Put in the mustard and as the seeds crackle, add chillies, curry
leaves and fry till golden brown. Mix all flours together, add salt, buttermilk
and soda and mix with enough water to form a thin batter of pouring
consistency. Add the fried ingredients and stir well. Pour a teaspoonful of oil
on the griddle. Pour a ladle of batter over and spread thinly. When one side is brown, turn over and brown
the other sides. Remove. Serve hot with peanut chutney.
