Raw rice

Whole wheat flour

Jaggery

Grated coconut (optional)

Clarified butter for frying

Soak and drain rice. Grind well. Add flour add broken pieces
of jaggery with enough water to make a batter of pouring consistency. Add
grated coconut and mix well. Heat the pan. Spread a tsp of ghee over. Pour
batter and spread lightly. Turn carefully. Pour 1 tsp of ghee over. Remove.
N. B. Maize or jowar flour can be used instead of
rice, if desired.
