Oil for frying

Soak gram for an hour. Drain water completely and grind into
a fine paste with salt and green chillies. Chop coriander, ginger and curry
leaves fine, crush peppercorns coarsely and cut coconut into small pieces. Add
to the ground paste. Meanwhile have oil ready for frying. Make lime-sized balls
of paste and seep fry till golden brown.
