Ingredients

Quantity
Refined flour
200gms
Fat to rub in and for frying

Salt
to taste  
Omum seeds



Sieve flour. Add salt and omum seeds. Rub in 2 ½ tbsp of melted fat into flour. Make a very hard dough adding a little water. Divide the dough into equal portions (about 10 to 12). Flatten them slightly. Heat the fat. Fry mathri to a golden brown colour on a very slow fire. Serve hot with any pickle.
