Green cow peas with mutton

















Ingredients

For 8
Mutton
500gms
Cow peas (fresh)
500gms
Ginger
2.5 cm. (1”) piece
Garlic
6 – 8 flakes
Pepper powder
½ tsp
Fat
2 tbsp
Onions
250gms
Salt
to taste 
Turmeric
½ tsp
Chilli powder
1 tsp


Wash and cut mutton. Grind ginger and garlic. Wash, string and cut the cow peas into 1.25cm (½ “) pieces. Chop half the onions and fry to a golden colour, add mutton and fry. Add ginger and garlic paste, dry spices and salt. Fry till completely dry. Add the rest of the onions cut into pieces and water to cook. When water boils, add prepared cow peas. Cover and cook till done. Dry extra water if any. Serve hot with bread or chapaties.
