Chola – ma – gosht



Ingredients

For 8
Mutton
500gms
Cow peas(dry)
250gms
Onions
150gms
Ginger
2.5cm. (1”) piece
Garlic
6 – 8 flakes
Turmeric
½ tsp
Fat
1 tbsp
Pepper
½ tsp
Coriander-cumin powder
1 tsp
Salt
5 – 10gms
Green chillies
3
Coriander leaves
½ bunches
Cherry tomatoes
100gms
Chilli powder
5gms
Vinegar
1 tbsp
Sugar (optional)
to taste 


Wash and cut mutton into pieces. Pick and wash the cow peas. Chop half the onions and cut the rest into big pieces. Boil mutton, peas and cut onions together. Fry chopped onions till golden in colour; add ginger and garlic paste, turmeric, coriander and cumin powder, pepper and chilli powder. Fry; remove and add to boiled mutton and cooked peas, add salt to taste. Add chopped green chillies, coriander leaves and tomatoes; simmer on a slow fire. When mutton is cooked, add vinegar to taste. Serve hot with bread or chapaties. Onion cuchumber could also be served with it.
