Chicken curry (A)















Ingredients

For 6 to 8
Chicken
1 (about 1.35 kg)
Onions
225gms
Garlic
6 flakes
Salt
to taste 
Lime

Fat
30gms

For grinding:


Coriander powder
15gms
Peppercorns
6
Ginger
10gms
Red chillies
5
Poppy seeds
1 tsp
Cumin
½ tsp
Grated coconut
55gms ( ¼ )


Clean, wash and join chicken. Slice onions and garlic. Heat the fat. Add onions and fry. Add the chicken pieces and brown well. Add sliced garlic and ground spices. Fry for 2 to 3 minutes. Add water and salt and simmer till chicken is tender and gravy is thick. Add lime juice just before serving.
