Sprouting Of Moong

Whole moong

Weight after sprouting

Time for sprouting
48 hrs


Clean and wash moong. Soak in enough water to cover moong. Keep for 24 hours. Tie in a muslin cloth and hang for a further 24 hours. Open and use as required. If longer sprouts are required spread on a towel, sprinkle with water and leave till the sprouts grow.


N.B.       Sprouting increases Vitamin C contents by approx 20%. Steam or cook quickly for use.
