Ingredients
For 8

Butter milk
6 cups
Ginger
1.25 cm.(1/2” piece)
Green chillies
3 – 4
Garlic
2 flakes
Red onions

Medium-sized onion
1 (65gms)
Cumin
a large pinch
Turmeric
1tsp
Lime leaf
¾
Curry leaves
a few
Salt
to taste


Add salt and curry leaves to buttermilk. Crush remaining ingredients on a grinding stone and tie in a muslin bag. Steep in the buttermilk. With a spoon, press the bag a few times to extract flavour. Set aside for 2 to 3 hours. Strain and serve in pony tumblers. If desired, a small piece leaf can be floated on top.
