Sieve flour, add salt, chilli powder, turmeric powder and asafoetida. Rub in fat. Add sour curds and mix well. Knead and leave for 1 hour. Knead again. Divide into even sized balls. Roll out into rounds 13 cm. (about 5”) in diameter. Fry like parathas.
