Whole wheat flour

Sieve flour. Beat curds well. Add salt and
melted fat (about 30gms) and curds to the flour. Add sufficient water to make a
stiff dough (as for puris). Divide the dough into even size balls, lightly
flatten, press in the centre with the thumb. Boil these balls in hot water for
about 10 -12 minutes. Remove. With a sharp knife slit across in the centre of
the balls without cutting through. Fry these in fat till golden brown in
colour. Serve them piping hot with a little melted fat poured over.
