Masala Murg
















Ø  1 full chicken, cut into cubes
Ø  ½ cups of fresh cream
Ø  ½ tsp of cumin seeds
Ø  ½ tsp poppy seeds
Ø  ½ tsp fenugreek seeds
Ø  1 tsp coriander powder
Ø  A pinch of nutmeg
Ø  20 cashew nuts, crushed
Ø  1 chopped onion
Ø  4 bay leaves
Ø  5 garlic cloves chopped
Ø  ½ tsp garam masala
Ø  4 tblsp ghee
Ø  Salt to taste


Roast cumin, poppy, fenugreek seeds. Now grind the whole lot into powder. Heat ghee and fry onion, garlic till light brown. Now put in chicken and fry. When well fried, add powdered masala, salt,bay leaves and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes. Now add cream, ½ cups of hot water and cook till water evaporates. Add garam masala, nutmeg and cardamoms. Cover and simmer for a couple of minutes, and take off the flame. Serve hot, garnished with minced coriander leaves.
