Aaloo Chole















Ingredients

  1. 4 medium sized boiled potatoes sliced into cubes
  2. 200 gms. Kabali chana soaked overnight in water and boiled well with salt
  3. 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  4. 1 large chopped onion
  5. 3 medium sized tomatoes chopped
  6. 3 green chillies chopped
  7. 5 cloves of garlic chopped
  8. 1/2 tsp. each chilli,coriander and turmeric powder
  9. 1/4 tsp. each aamchoor powder and garam masala
  10. a handful of chopped corriander leaves
  11. 4 table spoons of oil or ghee, salt to taste.
Heat the ghee or fat and fry onions,tomatoes, green chillies and garlic to light brown. Now add chilli , turmeric, coriander and aamchoor powder. Add boiled grams (chana) with its residual water and potatoes. Cover and boil on low flame for a few minutes. Add garam masala and cover for three minutes. Serve garnished with coriander leaves and with kulche or pathure.
