Dal makhini

Bay leaf, cardamom, cloves and cinnamon sticks

to taste 


Clean and soak black dal and rajma for at least 4 hours. Add bay leaf, cinnamon stick, cloves and cardamom and boil till well cooked.

In a pan melt butter and cumin seeds, chopped onions, ginger, garlic and green chilli fry till golden brown. Add turmeric, chilli, coriander powder and chopped tomatoes. Add cooked black dal and rajma to it. Cook on slow fire for 20 minutes. Garnish with fresh cream and chopped coriander leaves.
