Chicken Kalimirchi


Chicken – cut into medium pieces
4 tbsp
Chilli powder
1 ½ tsp
Coriander powder
1 ½ tsp
Turmeric powder
½  tsp
Pepper powder
2 tsp
Garam masala powder
¾ tsp
Ginger paste
1 ½ tbsp
Garlic paste
1 ½ tbsp
Big onion – cut in to big square pieces
Khus khus
1 tbsp
Cashew nuts – soaked
Tomatoes – cut into medium pieces
Coriander leaves
to taste  

In pan, cook onion pieces and khus khus with 1 cup of water.

Grind this along with soaked cashew nuts into a paste.

Grind 50gms of coriander leaves with 3 tomatoes and 2 tsp pepper powder into a paste.

Heat oil and fry ginger garlic paste.  Add chilli powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder and saute until raw smell goes.

Add chicken pieces and saute for 5 minutes. Add ½ cup water and salt and cook with the lid closed.

When the chicken is done, add the onion paste and garam masala powder and simmer for 5 minutes.

In another pan, heat 2 tbsp oil and saute tomato, coriander paste until oil floats. Add this to the cooked chicken curry and mix properly.
