Gramflour Yogurt Stew (Majjiga Pulusu)














Ingredients

Quantity
Yoghurt (1 day old)
2 cups
Turmeric
1 pinch
Curry leaves
1 stem
Chilli powder
1 tsp
Ginger
1 small piece
Green chillies
2
Oil
1 tsp
Black mustard seeds
½ tsp
Cumin seeds
½ tsp
Asafoetida
1 pinch
Pumpkin or any other vegetable
200gms
Gram flour
1 tbsp
Salt
to taste 


Boil vegetables until firm and cooked.

Beat the yogurt. Mix the gram flour in it, without lumps.

Add turmeric, salt, chilli powder, curry leaves and a cup of water to the yogurt.

Cook. Allow it to thicken, stirring it all the while, to stop it from boiling over. Simmer on low heat. Remove after it is well blended.

Fry mustard seeds, cumin seeds and asafetida. Season.
