Clean, wash and peel guavas and cut into quarters. Add
enough water to stew. When half done take off fire and remove seeds. Put back
on fire and when water boils add sugar and cloves. When guavas are tender and
syrup thickens add lime juice and take off the fire. Cool. Remove the cloves
and serve with custard sauce.
