Wash, clean and cut (with bones) meat and soak in curds for half an hour. Grind together half the onion, green chillies, coriander leaves, ginger, garlic, poppy seeds, coconut, red chillies and coriander. Slice remaining onion. Heat the fat, fry onion slightly, add ground spices and fry for a few minutes. Add meat, curds, salt and more water if required and cook till meat is tender. When cooked add roasted and powdered garam masala and remove from fire.
