Fish in tomatoes












Ø  500 gms of cooked and mashed fish
Ø  8 tomatoes
Ø  6 medium sized potatoes, cooked, peeled and mashed
Ø  4 tblsp bread crumbs
Ø  ½ tsp red chilli pwd
Ø  ½ tsp garam masala
Ø  1 bunch of coriander leaves chopped
Ø  3 tblsp ghee or oil
Ø  Salt to taste

Scoop out the tomato pulp by removing the top with a sharp knife. Mix the cooked fish, the garam masala, chilli powder, salt and coriander leaves. Roast the mixture in a tablespoonful of ghee.

Stuff in the mixture in the hollow of the tomatoes. Plug the tomato-openings with smashed potatoes. Sprinkle bread crumbs over it.

Bake the stuffed tomatoes in an oven at low temperature till they become tender. Serve hot with sauce or chutney and onion slices.
