Vegetable stew with haricot beans

Soak beans overnight in hot water. Prepare vegetables. Boil beans till tender in the water in which they were soaked. Heat the fat. Brown onions. Add prepared vegetables and just enough tepid water to cook vegetables. When vegetables are tender add haricot beans. Add seasoning, flour and milk. simmer for 10 minutes stirring all the time.


N. B.      Stew should have a fair amount of liquid.
