Ingredients

Quantity
Bengal gram flour
500gms
Oil to mix
20ml
Soda bicarbonate
2 pinches
Chilli powder
1 tsp
Water
590ml
Salt
to taste
Asafoetida (optional)
5gmsd
Oil to fry
125ml


Rub in oil in to the flour. Add all ingredients and make a stiff dough. Press through a stiff mould into hot oil. Fry till crisp. Stir lightly with end of a spoon as it hardens to prevent sev forming into lumps. Remove. Drain and put into airtight tins or bottles.
