Bengal gram flour

1 ½ cups (125gms )

2 ½ cups (375gms )

Sufficient (120ml) for syrup
|
Put sugar into a deep pan. Add a little water and boil till
the syrup gets to the ball stage. Add flour by sprinkling over the syrup,
little by little and mix thoroughly to prevent lumping. When well-mixed start
adding hot fat slowly at intervals. When the mass moves round and does not
adhere to the vessel remove the vessel from the fire. Transfer to a greased
plate and cut into desired shapes while still hot.
