Ham noodle casserole














Ingredients

Small shell noodles
115gms
Leeks

Milk
400ml
Lean cooked ham
115gms
Grated cheese
60gms
Salt and pepper



Wash leeks very thoroughly, removing any discoloured outside leaves. Chop into rings. Dice ham. Grease casserole. Layer leeks, ham and noodles (seasoning each layer) and a little grated cheese. Pour milk over and sprinkle grated cheese. Bake at 175oC (350oF) or gas mark 4 for about half an hour. The casserole is ready when all the milk is absorbed.

N. B.    This is also made very tasty with tinned celery hearts instead of leeks. It only needs half a tin, i.e. 2 hearts
