Bengal gram

Dry coconut

Green chillies
55gms
Chilli powder
40gms
Turmeric
15gms
Curry leaves
1 bunch
Sugar (optional)
225gms
Salt
30 – 50gms  
Oil to fry



Soak gram overnight with a pinch of alum. Slice dry coconut. Chop green chillies. Heat the oil. Fry pressed rice and remove as it puffs up. Drain. Mix turmeric and chilli powder with fried rice. Set aside. Fry gram, sliced coconut, green chillies, nuts and curry leaves separately. Remove. Mix fried ingredients with fried rice. When cold mix sugar and roasted and powdered salt.
