Wash and soak beans overnight in cold water. Cook with a
little soda until tender. Brown meat in hot fat. Add chopped onions, garlic and
green pepper. Add blanched tomatoes and seasoning. Cover and simmer for one
hour, adding a little water if needed. Add cooked beans. Reheat and serve hot.
