Split black gram
100gms
Green chillies
10gms
Ginger
5gms
Salt
to taste
Cumin

Soak the gram overnight. Grind it coarsely and add chopped green chillies, ginger, cumin and salt. Mix well. Shape into wadas 5 cm (2”) in diameter and 0.5 cm (¼”) thick. Fry in hot fat till golden brown. Drain the wadas and soak them in water for 5 – 10minutes. Squeeze out the water and soak them in the tamarind chutney.

Coriander

Pepper

300ml

Soak the tamarind for 1 hour, take out the pulp and strain it. Roast and powder spices. Add all the roasted and powdered spices, sugar and salt. Chilli and serve.
