Fried Nan












Ingredients
For 16

Refined flour
500gms
Egg
1
Milk
½ cup
Butter
60 – 80gms
Salt
to taste
Gingelly seeds
1tsp
Granulated yeast
½ tsp
Fat for frying



Sieve flour. Add salt. Rub in butter. Add yeast to lukewarm milk. Set aside for a few minutes and add to the flour mixture. Add beaten egg gradually. Knead well. When the dough doubles in size, divide into even portions and roll out into oval shapes about 1.25 cm. (1/2”) in thickness. Sprinkle gingelly seeds on top. Allow the ovals to rise about double their size. Deep fry in hot fat until golden brown on both sides. Drain and remove.
