Murg Cream Masala















Ø  1 medium sized chicken cut into cubes
Ø  A pinch of nutmeg powder
Ø  1 cup of fresh cream
Ø  ½ tsp cumin seeds
Ø  ½ tsp poppy seeds
Ø  ½ tsp fenugreek seeds
Ø  1tsp coriander pwd
Ø  20 cashewnuts, crushed
Ø  2 chopped onion
Ø  3 bay leaves
Ø  6 pods of garlic chopped
Ø  1 tsp garam masala
Ø  4 tblsp ghee
Ø  Salt to taste


Roast all the seeds till crisp and then grind them into a powder.
Now heat ghee, fry onion, garlic till light brown. Add chicken and fry. Then mix into it powdered masala, salt, coriander powder, bay leaves and let simmer for 3 minutes .Now add gently the fresh cream. Allow it to be absorbed into the chicken. Then add 4 tblsp of hot water and cook till water dries. Cover it after adding garam masala, nutmeg and cardamoms, and simmer for 5 to 6 minutes on a very low flame. Take it off the flame and serve hot.
