Ø 3 big ripe tomatoes
Ø 1 tsp chilli pwd
Ø 5 cloves of garlic
Ø 1 big ginger
Ø 1 tblsp salt
Ø 1 small lumps of jaggery, diced
Ø 2 tsp lemon juice
Ø 3 green chillies, chopped
Ø A pinch of turmeric pwd
Ø 1 tsp mustard seeds
Ø 1 tblsp oil
Wash, dry and cut tomatoes into small pieces. Grind cloves, garlic, ginger, chilli, turmeric powder into a fine paste. Now heat oil and fry mustard seeds and chopped green chillies. Add the paste and cook on low flame for 3 mts. Now add tomato pieces and cook till tender. Put in jaggery, salt and a little water. Cover and simmer. Take it off from the flame. Stir in lemon juice and serve hot or cold. It can be easily preserved for a couple of days.
