Ø  1 cleaned and cut chicken
Ø  1 kg minced meat
Ø  50 gms ghee
Ø  4 large minced onions
Ø  ½ kg dahi (curd)
Ø  1 kg rice
Ø  ½ tsp ground saffron 
Ø  Handful of sliced and fried almonds
Ø  3 bay leaves 
Ø  2” cinnamon
Ø  12 cloves
Ø  12 cardamoms
Ø  20 peppercorns
Ø  2 pods garlic
Ø  ¾ “ginger
Ø  2 tsps chilli pwd
Ø  2 tsps coriander / cumin seeds
Ø  1 tsp turmeric pwd
Take about 6 tblsp of ghee and fry two minced onions till golden brown. Add half of the spices, then put in chicken and mince & fry till brown. Add ground spices and fry for a few minutes along with chicken and the minced meat. Add two cups of hot water cover and cook till chicken is tender. Now beat the curd with saffron and add it to the chicken. Cook uncovered for 10 minutes. Remove it from flame and keep aside.
In the remaining ghee fry the bay leaves and the rest of the unused spices. Add onions and brown them well. Now add rice and fry till brown. Pour in enough water to cook rice (add 1tsp salt). Spread a layer of rice on a flat serving bowl. Over it spread a layer of meat, then repeat the layers over it. Garnish it richly with almonds and fry fruit and sliver foil.
