Ø 500 gms Mutton
Ø 115 gms onions
Ø 5 gms ginger
Ø 5 gm garlic
Ø 15 gms coriander pwd
Ø 5 gms green chilli
Ø 10 gms red chilli pwd
Ø 50 gms coconut
Ø 10 gms poppy seeds
Ø 2 gms garam masala
Ø 100 gms curd
Ø Salt to taste
Ø 50 gms oil
Rice :
Ø 400 gms rice
Ø 55 gms onions
Ø 2 gms whole garam masala
Ø 50 gms ghee
Ø Salt to taste
For Meat:
Clean and cut meat. Soak in curd
Grind red chilli powder, half the onion, ginger, garlic, green chillies, coriander powder and coconut.
Heat oil, add sliced onions, ground masala and fry. Add meat, fry well and add ground poppy seeds.
Add remaining curd, salt and cook.
Add garam masala powder, remove from fire.
For Rice :
Slice onions, heat ghee, fry onions and remove
Add whole garam masala and rice
Add salt and double the quantity of hot water
When rice is cooked remove from fire
Briyani :
Make a layer of rice in a pan, place meat layer over it and again cover with rice. Serve hot garnished with fried onions
