Combine apple and celery; marinade with French dressing or
sprinkle with lemon juice to prevent discolouring. Just before serving, add nuts
and mix with mayonnaise or cooked salad dressing thinned with cream. Serve on
crisp lettuce. Garnish with cherries, if desired.
N. B. For colour, do not peel apples.
