Waldorf salad















Ingredients

Quantity
Apple (diced)
10cups
Celery (diced)
5 cups
Broken walnuts
2 ½ cups
Mayonnaise or cooked salad dressing
1 cup
Heavy cream
¼ cup


Combine apple and celery; marinade with French dressing or sprinkle with lemon juice to prevent discolouring. Just before serving, add nuts and mix with mayonnaise or cooked salad dressing thinned with cream. Serve on crisp lettuce. Garnish with cherries, if desired.

N. B.      For colour, do not peel apples.
