Spicy barbecue sauce (1 – 2 itre) (20 -25 portions)



Ingredients

Vinegar
½ cup
Tomato juice
3 cups
Brown sugar
¼ cup
Prepared mustard
¼ cup
Garlic salt
2 tsp
Salt
2 tsp
Pepper
½ tsp
Small onions (sliced)

Ketchup
½ cup
Worcester sauce
3 tbsp


In a saucepan, combine vinegar, tomato juice, brown sugar, mustard, salt, pepper, onions. Simmer uncovered for 20 minutes. Then stir in ketchup and Worcester sauce. Bring to a boil. Leftover sauce may be refrigerated or frozen for later use.

Serve with hamburger, grilled poultry, cold meat, etc.
