Pick and wash the gram. Chop onion and chillies. Peel and cut pumpkin. Boil gram, pumpkin, green chillies and onion in a very little water. When gram is cooked, remove from fire and mash to a pulp. Hard-boil eggs and divide into quarters. Divide gram mixture into balls. Place a quarter of egg in the centre and shape. Coat with gram flour batter and deep fry to a golden brown colour.
