Macch Korma



















Ø  ½ kg fish without bones and thinly sliced
Ø  1 cup of fresh, beaten curd
Ø  3 large onions, sliced
Ø  4 tsps garlic paste
Ø  2 tsps chilli pwd
Ø  6 cloves
Ø  6 cardamoms
Ø  8 peppercorns
Ø  1” long piece cinnamon
Ø  ½ nutmeg, ground
Ø  Ghee or oil for frying
Ø  2 bunches of fresh coriander leaves
Ø  Salt to taste

Rub in a pinch of salt into fish. Put it aside to allow it to marinate for some time and fry till light brown and set aside.

Now heat 3 tblsp ghee, put in pepper corns, cloves, cardamoms and splutter. Add garlic, onion, ginger, coriander, chilli powder and salt. Add well beaten curd. Cook till gravy becomes thick.

Now add cinnamon and nutmeg stir and slip in fish slices, cover and cook on low flame till fish is tender. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
