Coconut – fresh and shredded

Butter or ghee

Soak Rice for 30 minutes in 1 1/2 cups water.
At the same time, soak Coconut for 30 minutes in 2 cups water.
Drain rice and set aside. Reserve the water.
Blend the coconut, using the water in which it was soaked. Strain
and reserve the coconut milk.
Heat butter/ghee in a skillet. Add onions and sauté until golden.
Add rice and fry a few minutes.
