Ingredients

Green gram (whole)
115gms
Green chillies
10gms
Onions
30gms
Ginger
20gms
Salt
to taste
Fat to shallow fry



Soak gram in water for about 2 hours. Grind coarsely with onions. Chop chillies fine and slice ginger. Mix together ground gram, green chillies and salt. Heat a fry-pan. Add a tsp of fat. Spread half the mixture in pan to form a round about 12.5 cm in diameter. Top with thin slices of ginger. When one side is fried, turn over and fry other side. Add a little more fat if necessary.
