Boil and peel potatoes, cut into small pieces. Peel and chop onions. Heat the fat, add cumin and turmeric; fry for 3 – 5 minutes. Add chopped onions and fry till golden brown. Mix together curds, chilli powder, coriander powder and salt. Add to browned onions, cook covered for a few minutes. Add potatoes, simmer for 10 minutes and serve hot.
