Lime Rasam














Ingredients
For 4

Water
3 cups
Lime
½  - 1  
Garlic
a small piece
Ginger
 a small piece
Cumin
a small pinch
Coriander  seeds
½ tsp
Turmeric
a small pinch
Coriander leaves
A few spring
Salt
to taste


For tempering



Asafoetida
a small pinch
Curry leaves
1 spring
Red chilli
1
Mustard seeds
A few
Oil
½ tsp


Crush together garlic, ginger, cumin and coriander seeds. Mix with lime juice, water, salt, turmeric and coriander leaves. Bring to a boil. Simmer for a few minutes. Remove from fire. Heat oil, ad curry leaves, broken red chilli, asafoetida and mustard seeds. As seeds crackle, pour rasam into the pan. Reheat and remove.
