Ø 6 tsp. grated coconut
Ø lime-sized turmeric
Ø 2 tsp. pottu kadalai ( daaliya daal)
Ø 2 Tbsp. coriander leaves
Ø 1 1/ tsp. coriander seeds
Ø 1/2 onion chopped
Ø 1 Tbsp. poppy seeds
Ø 3 cloves garlic
Ø 4 red chillies
Ø salt to taste
ghee for frying
6 slices white bread
Grind first 10 ingredients into a fine paste, adding very little water. Smear on both
sides of the bread slices. Shallow fry in a little ghee until brown. Serve with coconut chutney.
