Heat milk in a thick-bottomed pan. Stir till it boils. Add washed
rice. Simmer for half an hour stirring occasionally. Add sugar and nuts. Cook on
a very slow fire till thick. Sprinkle powdered cardamoms. Serve hot or chilled
as desired.
